About Us
My name is Nicole Brown, my husband is Michael, and we have two boy’s, Aidan and Hunter. Fishers with Faith Ministries, Inc. is a space where we pray we can bring a clear and simple gospel to anyone searching. It is a work in progress so check back often to see what is new.
I decided to start this space for the simple reason of trying to share how someone can have eternal life. To share with people God’s grace and mercy. I didn’t always know where I was going when I died, frankly I never really thought about dying at all. I knew people died, I had lost some really important people in my life, but I guess being young, it’s never in the front of your mind to think what if I die…
It wasn’t until I met my husband that he introduced me to the Lord. Boy was I lost! He grew up in church his whole life, he had a foundation to the gospel, but he realized when he was thirty-five that he was doubting his salvation. It took him having a medical emergency with his heart to search for the truth. Thanks to that situation we both went on a journey to know what the true gospel was. What did you have to do to go to heaven? That was what we set out to find the answer to. That journey is what has brought us here. My husband started out with about forty preachers. If they didn’t go by what the bible said they were out. That list got narrowed down quickly to three preachers. Hank Lindstrom, Curtis Hutson, and a pastor by the name Yankee Arnold. These three pastors only quoted scripture, they backed everything they said with scripture, and they gave a simple and clear gospel.
They all taught that the only way to go to heaven was to believe what Jesus did on the cross he did for you. Jesus paid for our sins and all we have to do is believe he did that for us. It’s a free gift to all who will except it. There is nothing you can do to work your way to heaven. Only believing in Jesus can get you there.
When we moved to Tampa in 2019 my husband was watching Yankee on YouTube. Needless to say we had no idea that his church was in Tampa until he mentioned it during a sermon one Sunday morning. We decided to visit Calvary Community Church of Tampa, from that moment we knew that felt like home to us. We became members and never looked back. Two years went by, and Yankee addressed the church that he was going to be traveling on the road to spread the gospel to anyone who would listen. This change brought us not only a new pastor and his wife, but also some close friends. Pastor Jesse Martinez and his wife Kyla stepped in to take over at Calvary. This is one thing that I like to think is special about our church. We teach people how to be soul winners, how to lead people to the Lord by sharing a simple and true gospel. We aren’t a “tickle your ear” kind of church. Our pastor won’t just give you a motivational speech to make you feel like you can take on the week, he teaches you scripture, how to put on the full armor of God. Our church is a family and a community dedicated to sharing the word of God. With all of that said, this isn’t a “my church is better than yours.” This is just a little background to why I decided to create this ministry. To share our journey, and as Pastor Jim Scudder Sr. once said, to “Finish Strong.” I was never one to really walk up to a stranger and spark a conversation, but since my time at Calvary I have had a desire to share God’s word. I believe that the trials I have gone through in life, the up’s and down’s, all of the experiences, good and bad, have been for a reason. I may not have known the why or what for, but I believe God always has a reason. Now more than ever I just have the desire to share the gospel with anyone who is searching. To help lead people to the Lord. To be a fisher of souls. I pray that you will find clarity in the gospel with this ministry as well as the knowledge to be able to share the gospel with others. Feel free to invite everyone and don’t forget to subscribe.
